An enchanting 13th century town surrounded by the beautiful Aravis mountains, dotted with picturesque mountain restaurants offering Savoyarde specialities. Summer brings out the vibrant colours of the landscape with the sharp greenness of the pastures contrasting with crystal clear blue skies.
The core of the town is medieval with narrow cobbled streets, beautifully restored buildings, bubbling fountains, a striking bronze domed church, horse-drawn sleighs, and a market on Friday mornings. The centre of the resort is car-free with a wide choice of shops, including delicatessens, antique and fashion, mountain sports and gifts. It is a gourmets’ heaven with a choice of over 90 restaurants of which 8 are Michelin-rated and 11 are Gault Millau-listed
Walking There are marked trails on the three mountains of Mont d’Arbois, Rochebrune, and Jaillet
Mountain biking The Mont d’Arbois, Rochebrune and Jaillet gondolas give access to a large choice of itineraries from mountain ridges to gentle pastureland.
Swimming Sports Centre with swimming pools and ice rink
