The largest lake in Slovenia, Lake Bohinj has a wonderfully scenic location, surrounded by the Julian Alps and forming part of the vast Triglav National Park. Small hamlets are dotted around the densely wooded lake front and a wealth of walking is amongst many activities in which to partake.
A panoramic boat trip on the lake is a must, together with a cable car ride up to Mount Vogel, which will give you magnificent views over the lake. With its unspoilt natural setting, Lake Bohinj will provide a delightfully peaceful atmosphere for a relaxing holiday.
